Intake & Adoption Counselor

Fishers, IN

At the Humane Society for Hamilton County (HSHC), saving lives isn't just a job—it's a calling. Here, every animal matters, and every employee plays a vital role in rewriting their story.

About the Role

This is a fast-paced, people-forward role that requires compassion, critical thinking, and a “whatever it takes” attitude. You’ll interact with the public, support internal departments, and help make our shelter a place of hope, healing, and second chances.

  • Process surrenders with compassion and educate on shelter diversion
